Shinkansen Noise Simulation

Railway running sounds include rolling noise from friction between wheels and rails and impact noise generated at rail joints. We measure these sounds from trains in actual operation and aim to build an immersive railway noise evaluation system. The video shows how the change in noise with and without sound barriers can be experienced inside the CAVE.
